Mud Hens' Raburn turning it around

While it's early in the season, Ryan Raburn has compiled some solid offensive statistics.

It wasn't that long ago that Raburn would have been a valuable part of the 25. Now he is behind quite a few players on the infield depth chart and arguably is not first in line for an outfield call up. After a great spring and with his versatility he may have pulled ahead of Brent (who is struggling) but may still be behind Timo who is hitting well. Not too much longer and people will argue that Maybin should be ahead as well. Unfortunately for the Tigers, if Ryan gets the call it will mean that someone is either hurt or not hitting- which none of us want. It really stinks when you want to see your adopted one called up but know that it can only be bad situation for the Tigers if he is.

It certainly looks like there is chance Ryan will go the Donnie Kelly path.

He's gone a bit cold for the past week or so, but if he gets back on track I think he'd be the first one called up.

Where is Timo Perez anyway? He's been out of the lineup for a few games it seems.

From today's Blade:

Rojas said Timo Perez, who has missed the past four games with a sore right calf, is improving. Perez will run the bases today, and if he feels normal he will be the Hens' designated hitter tonight.

Timo hurt himself chasing down Rojas after Rojas deliberately ended Timo's hit streak last week.

One of those guys there's been countless threads on, so I figured I'd just bump one. Anyone have an update on Raburn's glove? Is it still unplayable? What is the likelihood we see him called up this season?

He certainly is streaky. I wouldn't know about his glove but he seems to be exclusively an outfielder now, whom they don't mind using in center.
