Whitecaps Announce 2007 Opening Day Roster

COMSTOCK PARK, MI — The West Michigan Whitecaps, in conjunction with the Detroit Tigers, announced their 2007 Opening Day roster Monday. Highlighting the roster are 13 draft picks from the 2006 draft along with five of the Tigers top 30 prospects according to Baseball America.

I'm excited because I'll get to watch the Whitecaps when they come to Midland to play the new team, the Great Lakes Loons.

I'm very excited to meet some of the new players and greet the returnees. Hopefully the boys will be excited about the fans and atomosphere and enjoy the season.

Even the guys from WM who had to return seemed to be excited to reconnect with the host families and friends there.

This could be a really exciting year for WM fans. There is a ton of talent on the roster.
