AP - The Detroit Tigers decided to stay in Lakeland, Florida due to bad weather in Michigan.. Tiger's spoke man said that half the team protested that leaving the low 80s and heading into possible 50s would being on health problems that they do not want. Several pitchers stated that the colder weather would also take a toll on their pitching arms and that arm problems would appear in August because of the temperature change..Tigers officials are now in a dilemma with only two days before scheduled opening day in Detroit.
