Chuckles and I have been wanting to rework the logo for The Surge (http://www.thesurge-whitecapsbaseball.blogspot.com).

Here is one possible idea:

It's a good idea but it needs to be cleaned up a lot.

It looks like it was created on Microsoft Paint. The flames are too rough and the ball is out of round. I'd also make the flame taper off a lot more at the end.

Here's the one I came up with. It's kind of an abstract wave engulfing a baseball. I know it's pretty basic. It's a working idea.

Thoughts and ideas are beneficial. Thanks. :cool:

Baseballs are round. Nice ideas but I agree with Biff. Make it look professional. Do you know a good graphic designer?

No sir, I do not. Well, at least not that I know of. The ball is something I can touch-up pretty easily when I have the time to work on it some more (probably next week), and I have a couple of ideas to jazz up the rest of the picture.

I know some people on another forum who are amazing artists, and I've asked for their help in seeing what they might be able to come up with, so that might help turn up some stuff too.

Grey is just meant to be a transparent color.

If the grey is just there for "filler" right now, I'd maybe reccomend a little thicker white outline around the letters, since we've got a pretty dark background on the page.

This is my favorite so far.

Okay. It still needs to be worked on some more. I hope that it can look better.

BTW, does all this logo change mean you got busted using the Caps logo without permission?

The second one is better since you changed the shades of blue so the T doesn't blend in with the oval.

Nope. A logo change is to prevent any potential whitecaps logo issues. It also gives us visual identity that could be put on whatever we want.
