How do you kick off in baseball?

Don't know, but one time I saw Paul O'Neill (Yankees) misplay a ball in right, so he got mad and KICKED it all the way to the infield! One of the funniest plays ever.

In a lot of ways, Toledo's Fandemonium is better than Tigerfest. You actually can meet the players - talk to them, get autographs. There are giveaways.
It's more laid back and a whole lot less people attend. It is definitely worth attending!

I've gone to every Mud Hens Fandemonium since the new ballpark opened. It's a really good time and billee is right. There aren't as many people in attendance which gives you more of an opportunity to chat with the players and coaches. It's a lot of fun!

However, this year they are having it at the Seagate Centre so I wonder if they are expecting a bigger turn out this year. I mean, the Mud Hens are back-to-back Governor's Cup Champions!

OK, that doesn't work well.:embar: Maybe they could do a re-enactment of Rod's Japanese HBP.

I'd love to see the video of that. I've heard about it many times, but I've never seen the video.

Either way, I might have to make the trip for this (the kickoff, but if they show the video...)

Thank you. I know its been posted here before (at least I've heard rumblings that it has), but I've always seemed to have missed it and I didn't want to have to ask for it to be reposted.

I had to do a double take on the word "Carp" on the jersey. I coulda swore I saw "Crap".

Ol' Rod looked a bit winded at the end of his jaunt through the field. I bet he was glad to return to the dugout rather than have to run the bases. Hopefully when he hit the showers he got rid of that poor excuse for a pornstache.

My dad went on a fishing/camping hike in the Eastern U.P. one time. He said he lived on Carp for a week. Let's just say he recommends putting Carp in a smoker first, then maybe try a ten-foot pole ....

Thanks for the link. That was well worth the wait. That could be one of the funniest videos I've ever seen.

As for Carp, I remember when I was a kid going to Greenfield Village and watching the carp eat anything thrown into the water. Ah yes the good ol' days...

Cedar Point carp are kind of amusing, too. Bouncing off of each other, practically above the water line for half a day, waiting for someone to throw something/anything at them.

Last time I went to Cedar Point a few of my buddies thought it was beyond hilarious to spit in the pond next to the Iron Dragon while we were in line (shocking, I know, the Iron Dragon had a Line) and watch the carp eat the spit.

It would be great if they had a batting cage. Put Rod in there and then, as a surprise, bring in that Japanese pitcher to drill him.

That what makes it so great. You get everyone's autograph in a reasonable time - and it leaves you time to go get more than one for some players.
