Tickets for the MotownTigers.com Tiger Game on August 24, 2002 can now be reserved! If you would like to attend this game as part of the MotownTigers.com group, please visit our information page (http://www.motowntigers.com/mbgame.php).

Tickets will be priced at a very affordable $9 each, which includes a ticket in section 106 along with a coupon for a free soft drink and your choice of a pizza slice or hot dog. An extra $1 has been added to the cost of the ticket to cover the expenses of mailing the tickets to each purchaser and for the cost of the transactions via PayPal credit card system.

In addition to the Tiger game at 7:05pm, other events are being planned and more information will be available soon.

Tickets sales for the Message Board game on August 24th have been very slow to date, so this is your friendly reminder that operators are standing by day and night to take your ticket orders. Friends and family are invited, so plan your order accordingly.

I realize the Tigers have gotten off to a very slow start, but please remember that this event is a great chance for many of us to meet each other for the first time, and a chance to renew friendships for others who have met before. The opportunity to see some real MLB talent (um, the Oakland A's) is a bonus!

I'm sure a 2002 Detroit Tigers ticket from a late August game when they are umpty-two games out of first will draw a hefty profit on eBay in a couple centuries or so. I'll leave it to my daughter as her inheritance. The estate tax should be minimal.
