On a whim I decided to check the Cardinals website earlier this week for World Series tickets. They had not held their lottery yet and the registration period was still open. I registered me and my wife. We lost.

But lo and behold, we were entered into the "Second Chance" lottery. Kind of a loser lottery. Well we both received e-mails saying we were loser winners!
We can log on tomorrow morning at 9:00 central and buy 2 tickets to one game only! So that's probably going to be 4 tickets to Game 5! I'm excited, but I wonder if every loser was a winner and it's basically the same mess I dealt with on Monday waiting for me in the morning.

Well, any way Go Cardinals for tonight only! Then it's back to the same it's always been - I'm Tiger Optimist for a reason baby! Even in the darkest times I believed. Hopefully I'm off to St. Loius to say "Eat Em Tigers, Eat Em Up!"

Well, I'm still in the Virtual Waiting Room. It's been almost 30 minutes. I think my instincts were correct that anyone who registered became a Second Chance Lottery winner.

I got 2 SRO for Thursday. I really like tickets.com more than ticketmaster... as much as the virtual waiting room virtually blows, its better than getting page errors because 1M people log on at 10am, melting their servers.

I got screwed too. . .

I was waiting, waiting, waiting, and then told that they were sold out.

I now hate the Cardinals even more.

You never ever root for a team to beat your team in the playoffs or World Series. For selfish reasons or not, you never root for your team to lose unless the season is lost *cough* Lions *cough* and you want a better draft pick.

I think he was rooting for them to beat the Mets so that he could get tickets in St. Louis.
