I didn't see this posted just wanted to check...
Just ask in the game thread man thats where everyone is right now. Youre much more likely to have someone actually read that.

I dunno, hopefully he had Shelton on the roster. If not we're likely stuck with Carlos at first and Neifi at SS...

I think that they might run Santiago out there at SS if tonight is any indication... Santiago is a much better defensive player than Neifi.
I don't think Shelton is on the roster. Which sucks because Casey is likely done for at least the rest of it.

During the post-game, Leyland says Shelton is not available for the series.

Says can only be added for the World Series.

I would rather see Infante at SS than Perez or Santiago. He has the best bat of the 3 of them.

I would too but I think that if they are going to choose between Neifi and Santiago I would choose Santiago. Around equal bats with a much better glove for Santiago.

I agree with you. It really hurts to lose Casey though because there is nobody to plug into his spot in the lineup.

You could bat Santiago 9th and play NL style ball I guess. Just have him sac bunt and if you get a hit out of him it's a bonus.

Guillen is perfect for 3. I think it would be okay to put Ivan at 5. Basically just bump everyone up a spot and put in a new 9.

Guillen has batted 5th all year. I doubt they make a change with him to 3 now. That could put him on a cold streak. sometimes it happens.

Pudge batted third for 2/3 of the year until they got Casey. Put Pudge back in third and bump Monroe, Thames, Inge up a spot and Santiago/Infante/Perez will bat 9th.

Perhaps. I don't buy that stuff but I think Leyland probably does.
You will likely see Ivan slide into the 3 spot.

I figure Leyland will put Pudge back at 3. That's not all bad, I just don't think it's as effective. But the real problem is having what amounts to a throwaway AB in the lineup.

For a long time Casey was a throwaway AB in the lineup. Besides I am not really ready to say that it will be a throwaway AB if Infante is thrown in there (he can hit a fastball).... Santiago would be a throwaway as would Neifi.

Thames or Monroe to 3rd. Leyland likes his 4-5-6 lineup. He doesn't mess with it once it is clicking.
