View Full Version : ALCS tickets on sale 10:00 a.m. today
Just wanted to remind everyone that tickets go on sale today. I believe the tigers will make it. The pressure is off, they are back in their comfortable underdog role.

Can someone clarify for me? If the Tiger's don't make it it looks like they only refund a portion of the fees.
From Detroit Tigers.com
Tigers.com/Ticketmaster Internet Purchases: Ticket holders who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster via the Internet will receive an automatic refund through a credit issued to the credit card used for the original ticket purchase. The actual ticket will have no cash value AND SHOULD NOT BE RETURNED. The ticket holder will also receive a refund of the per ticket convenience fee. Per order Processing/Shipping & Handling fees are non-refundable.
When I got my ALDS tickets there was like 4 fees on there and they only refund the convenience fee? So how much money are you 'out' if they don't make it? I had $28 in fees for 2 tickets to the ALDS that is insane.
I hate ticketmaster.
One of the reasons I'll just watch it on TV.

Strangely, I don't feel like it's that horrible a thing that we're facing the Yanks in round 1. If the Tigers could just score 4 or 5 runs first...

I just got a pair of tickets to all 3 ALCS games...game one I have section 116A, which looks like outfield box, but I was charged Infield box/Terrace prices. Does anyone know if 116A is terrace? Are terrace seats those seats under the overhang just behind the infield boxes?

I have a similar question.
I just picked up tickets in section 126B for game 1.
Where the funk is 126B?

Won't the games that you're going to be dependant on whom they are playing. The Tigers would have homefield advantage over Oakland, no?

But you did avoid ticketmaster fees that way.

I did but I also got better seats buy simply buying them on the public onsale day. I also inherited the difficulty of unloading the tickets for all of the games that I didn't want to go to.
I even ate a couple sets.

Yeah...I figured that out when I realized that they didn't make a potential 4th game available on ticketmaster.
That's kinda silly though...A team with 10+ fewer wins could have homefield.

I think so...from the Tigers web site;
On-Deck Circle seats and Tiger Den seats include access to the Tiger Club and Den Lounge.
Club seats, Terrace seats, and Tiger Den seats feature extra wide seats and aisles.
I wonder how these seats were even available to the general public? I was shocked to get anything in the lower level let alone premium seats.

Quite frankly, it annoys me that I got better seats by buying today than I got from laying out the cash for the 20 game package. It doesn't do much to make me want to purchase any kind of package next year.

I was contemplating gettingthe 20-game package as well that they were offering after the all-star break. I knew I would never be able to make 20 games, but figured there was no way I would get playoff tickets otherwise...so much for that idea, I've been able to get tickets to all 6 games that have gone on sale so far, often getting better seats than season ticket holders (which is WRONG). Not only that, but I didn't have to shell out a few thousand dollars a month ago to get my tickets, I get to pick and choose.
If I was a season ticket holder, I would not be at all happy with the postseason ticket process...

That's where I was at yesterday. Great view although if you are higher up in the numbered seats then the people coming up can get in the way.
219 looks like a good section to get seats too. Only 3 or 4 seats per row.

I don't think game 6 would be in Detroit. Isn't a 2-3-2 format? This would mean games 3, 4, 5 would be in Detroit in the ALCS, right?

The format is 2-3-2.
Remember the Red Sox-Yankees format, Games 6 and 7 were in New York.
If Detroit has homefield vs the A's, then Home Game 3 would be that Tuesday, Oct 17th.
If Detroit does not have homefield vs the Twins, then Home Game 3 would be that Sunday.
Why else would there be 3 days of Fri, Sat, Sun, then an off day....that is the travel day, correct?
At least I think this is how it goes, maybe I am wrong.

Question... if the Tigers don't win the series do they still print and send out the ALCS tickets to those who just ordered them on ticketmaster? Would be nice to have as a souvenier I guess.
