...So what? Yeah, we lost the AL Central. It would've been nice, but isn't it important that we made the playoffs? Yes, today was frusterating. The last two months were terrible. During today's game, I was depressed and felt like I was kicked in the gut. But I then thought...there are a lot worse things. Car accidents, rejection, death, ect. This is just a game. Its a past-time. Why bother getting so down in the dumps, especially since we're still in the playoffs? I take back all my negative comments (Except for the ones about Rodney and Walker :lick: ) I regret being so pessimistic these last two months. Theres no need for it. Besides...it would be more of an achievement to beat the Yankees then the A's, wouldn't it? :devious:

Its time to move on. Lets focus on kicking some Yankee rear.

Holy crap. I really expected this to be a big time rant and rave about how the team choked and how they were absolutely horrible.

This was a very good post and I agree 100%. Yeah, it's really frustrating to lose the division after leading for so damn long, but it's time to move on and destroy the Yankees who are hopefully looking past us.

GO TIGERS!

Is it a choke if we still make the playoffs? I don't think so.

Sometimes, when it seems like everything is falling apart, that might be just the moment when it is coming all together.

I'd like to add my virtual signature to your post, if I may. I couldn't agree more. Excellent post.

Are you a motivational speaker? That was tremendously campy.

I'm actually happier now then I have been in a while. I don't know why. I think its because the race is finally over. We're finally in October and still alive.

We played in the TOUGHEST divison in baseball this year and ended up in the playoffs. You aren't just lucky for that to happen. You have to be good. I don't think in that way it is a choke. Losing the AL central crown was a choke, but overall season wasn't since we were only hoping for a .500+ season this year.

FT, this potion of your post is absolute truth.

I catch my fair share of slack on this board for being "too positive". That's not the case. I get just as upset about things like this weekend as anyone else. But I refuse to let it consume my life. I have had a horrible last couple of months. Sports is always my escape from these personal problems. We have had our little exchanges in game threads all year long. I'm happy you have seen the light and I hope that now you can understand my perspective on sports.

And I do. I'm greatful to be in the post-season, something two of the pennant winners from last season did not achieve again. The negativity from here on out from me will be kept to a minimum. I have seen the light? :cheeky:

Well you are right about Rodney. Awesome stuff but hes as wild as any reliever.

We should keep Walker only because hes lefty.

Im still frustrated as ****, sure ("Division Champs" gear would look really good on me right now; The Wild Card sucks), but whats done is done, and I trust Ilitch and DD to make some big moves. A lot to look forward to in the future.

Even though it may be temporary, welcome to Tiger country. Glad to have you along cheering with us. Hope we have something to celebrate.

I wonder, do Sox fans want us or the Twins to win?

From what I can tell, 90% would rather have you win.

Everyone hates the Twins because of their dump of a stadium!
