Bobby Higginson sucks.

I know Clark is going to start better in April this year. And Cruz is going to improve his range and start walking more. This is Juan E.'s year. And how about that Easley guy. He sure is good. What a great acquisition Gregg Jefferies was. A contact hitter for sure.

What in the name of all that's holy and good on GOd's green earth are you talking about?

I think Jake is referring to how Brandon Inge is going to be an all star next season.:D

He did get one first place vote for Tiger of the year.

IT was a bad year :)

They should lead off Becker and trade Encarnacion for some prospects.

That Juan Gonzalez trade was bad.

How about that Hideo Nomo?

Mark The Shark

Biff Mayhem

Thank God for Billy Ripken. If not for him we wouldn't have a starting SS this year.

Gabe Kapler will be the next Al Kaline...

Raul Casanova is the second coming of Mike Piazza.

Hey did you guys hear they called up Nieves?

Biff Mayhem

I really think this will be Greg Keagle's year.

Baker Graterol has a fastball that really moves...

... about 350 feet.

Roger Cedeno is going to finally solve our leadoff and centerfield problems. (I think I said that)

Andujar Cedeno is our SS of the future.

Did you see Brocail, he was going to kick somebody's butt? I hate the White Sox.

We didn't give up much in Curtis and Eischen and Cummings both have good arms. You never know.

Starflyer
11-08-2002, 05:36 PM
And that Torey Lovullo, wow, now he's going to be SOMETHING

jake

I thought this was a Bobby Higginson career highlight thread??? That doesn't belong.

jake

Aldred
Bocachica
Curtis
Drews
Encarnacion
Flaherty
Graterol

Can someone pick it up from there??

Biff Mayhem

I'm a little concerned about Andy Tomberlin........he seems to be a man without a position.

jake
11-08-2002, 06:07 PM
That's awesome, Biff. I had to look that guy up (1998).

You know what, if we'd send Dave Roberts to work with someone like Tony Gwynn in the offseason, I know he could be our starting centerfielder in the very near future.

jake (wondering how many guys Higgy has forgotten)

jake

He's not much of a relief pitcher, but he sure does a good job of cutting hair.

Dick Sharon and Jim Nettles looks like a solid outfield combo. Could be a strength for years to come. Who do you think should replace Eddie Brinkman?

Did you see Randy traded for Brian Hutner? We've got our leadoff man! This guy's gonna be the next Kenny Lofton!

Why the hell did Randy trade Hunter to the Mariners?
This trade will come back and bite us in the arse!

(I didn't agree with that tho... I wanted Hunter to be done with baseball after he went like 0-19 in a double header against the Yanks and both games went into deep extra innings)

The Tigers just traded for Eric Davis....

Oh wow, the Tigers just acquired Fred Lynn just prior to the deadline for Chris Hoiles and then obtained Ted Power from the Royals....

Oh wait, they just made another deal that was even better... They got Dickie Noles for a PTBNL for who turned-out to be none other than Dickie Noles.... Oh wow, Darnell Coles was also dealt
for the Lizard King himself, Jim Morrison.....
