Higgy has his big fat mouth running again. He challenged Art
Roegner to come Comerica park? Higgy, thinks that kicking the *** of a broadcaster will make the team better? Higgy is so inmature.
If he could channel some of that energy into playing baseball, we'd all be better off. Does Higgy think that he can solve the worlds problems by being violent? Why can't Higgy show the class of a Tony Clark? Why can't he just go out and play his *** off? Why can't he just earn his $9 million by playing the game and shutting his trap. I sincerely hope that Dombrowski has his fill, and trades Higgy.

Trade Higgy! Egads, you're going to get cooked and eaten alive by the many Higgy supporters we have here. I like Higgy, too, but he's not a player the whole team rallies around, no matter what Kirk Gibson says.

Higgy has always used his energy on the field. I don't consider him unclassy, he just isn't afraid to say what is on his mind. He does "go out and play his *** off" every night!

He said he needs to be careful this season with what he says about the team and he is. Except for defending Garner he hasn't said anything. If he wants to argue with sportswriters off the field then that is fine. Its all fun and games.

I love how we criticize Clark for not showing enough emotion to be a leader, and then Higgy for showing to much.

Higgy complained when they traded Brian Hunter because he felt that was a sign the team wasn't commited to winning, so i think we can basically assume he doesn't understand much about the business side of making a competitive team.

All I want is results. I never criticized Clark for showing a lack of emotion. I like Clark. I would take him over Higginson. I think Higginson, Palmer, Easley and Young's salaries can all be used better if we're rebuilding.

Now, they just need to move the fences in.

I wasn't directing that last comment at you OT. My point was that all that matters is results (which i think you agree with), and all the stuff about Higgy's "big mouth" isn't really important.

Would you take Clark over Young?

Higgy's mouth could be detrimental to this supposively great new clubhouse atmosphere.

I wouldn't take Clark over Young because Clark is so injury prone. If Clark could stay healthy, I'd take Clark though.

A healthy Clark over Young? Absolutely.

Higgy doesnt know much about the business of baseball. His job is to play. He runs his mouth because he realizes the organization doesnt know how to make a winner.

I would love to see Higginson move on. From his first days in a Tiger uniform he has sought to intimidate and pout over every move and trade. This season he had it his way, Juan E., Tony, and Cruz gone, things were going to be fun and different according to him. Well, it is turning out to be the same old thing, and he might be at the center of the problem.

Of course, Jeff Bagwell does the same exact thing in houston but no one tries to run him out of town.

Yeah, Bagwell's offensive numbers are so poor and inconsistent that is a fair statement. Check the stats. They aren't even in the same league, offensively.

You're right, but the point is who cares what a player says about management.

I don't think we should judge players based on what they say. It should be about how they perform on the field. It is in Bagwell's case, and it should be in Higgy's. What he thinks about firing garner and Smith is irrelevant.

And how exactly is Higginson inconsistent?

You don't think there's about 100 more people that are more deserving?

First pitch? Not quite.

But when the Booty Bus pulls into one of the Woodward lots on Saturday, I believe that Higgy should be given a complimentary lap dance. He'd like that better.

I heard a story from a source close the team about a time Higgy called Weaver, Fick, Anderson, etc. about where they were going out one night on a road trip. The boys told him a completely different bar. Good stuff.
